Trick 1. Update WhatsApp, Disable/Enable Restrict Data Usage and Clear Cache and Data of WhatsApp

Trick 1.1 – Update WhatsApp

  • Open Play Store.
  • Search for WhatsApp.
  • Tap “Update” if available.

Trick 1.2 – Disable/Enable Restrict Data Usage of WhatsApp

  • Tap and hold WhatsApp icon and click on “App info”.
  • Tap on “Restrict data” and then disable Wi-Fi and mobile data and then enable

Trick 1.3 – Clear Cache and Clear Data of WhatsApp

  • Tap and hold WhatsApp icon and click on “App info”.
  • Tap on “Clear data”.
  • Tap on “Clear cache” and “Clear all data”.

Now try to verify your WhatsApp.

Trick 2. Set Date One Day Ahead

  • On your phone, go to Settings.
  • Search for Date and Time and tap on it.
  • Turn off “Set time automatically”.
  • Now, set the date one day ahead (for example, today is 27 Dec, then set it to 28 Dec).

Now, go to WhatsApp and try to verify.

Once the verification is completed, you can set the date back to the original.

Trick 3. Contact WhatsApp Support

If the above 2 tricks don’t help you, then the last option is to contact WhatsApp support.

Go to: https://www.whatsapp.com/contact/?subject=messenger

Fill up the form such as phone number, email address, platform (Android/iPhone).

And in “Please enter your message below” box, explain your issue that “I am not receiving OTP code for verification”.

After filling up the form click on “Next” and then click on “Send Question”.

Now, wait for WhatsApp reply. It will probably take 24-72 hours.
