Fix 1. Reset Chrome Browser

  • Open Chrome, click on 3 dots and then select “Settings”.
  • Click on “Reset settings” on the left and then click on Restore settings to the original default”.
  • Click on Reset Settings to confirm.

Fix 2. Update Your Chrome Browser

  • Open Chrome, click on 3 dots and then select “Help”.
  • Click on “About Chrome”.
  • If there is any update available, Chrome will automatically download the update.
  • Once updated, relaunch your Chrome.

Fix 3: Clear Chrome Cache and Cookies

  • Open Chrome, click on 3 dots and then select “Settings”.
  • Click on “Privacy and Security” on the left.
  • Then click on “Clear browsing data”.
  • Here select “Time range”.
  • Select “Browsing history”.
  • Select “Cookies and other site data”.
  • Select “Cached images and files”.
  • And then click on “Clear data” to confirm.

Fix 4. Remove Faulty Extension

  • Open Chrome, click on 3 dots and then select Extension > Manage extensions.
  • Now, disable the extension one-by-one to identify the faulty extension.
  • Once you find the faulty extension, simply remove it.

Fix 5. Disable Hardware Acceleration In Chrome

  • Open Chrome, click on 3 dots and then select “Settings”.
  • Click on “System” on the left.
  • Turn OFF the toggle next to “Use hardware acceleration when available”.

Fix 6. Disable PDF Downloads In Chrome Browser

  • Open Chrome, click on 3 dots and then select “Settings”.
  • Click on “Privacy and Security” on the left.
  • Click on “Site Settings”.
  • Scroll down and click on “Additional content settings” and then click on “PDF documents”.
  • Here, under Default behaviour, select “Open PDFs in Chrome”.
