How To Fix Bluetooth Issues On Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

I have done research online and I have found there are several users experiencing different types of Bluetooth problems on Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, such as pairing issues, keeps disconnecting, not able to connect to car Bluetooth, connection is not stable and so on.

To fix Bluetooth issues on Google Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, you can follow these solutions and one by one and check if it is fixed or not.

  • Restart Your Smartphone
  • Disable/Enable Bluetooth
  • Clear Cache and Clear Data of Bluetooth App
  • Unpair and Pair Device Again
  • Reset Bluetooth
  • Check For Software Update
  • Factory Reset Your Pixel 8/8 Pro

Fix 1. Restart Your Smartphone

This is the very first step that you should follow – just do a simple restart of your Pixel 8/8 Pro device.

It gives a fresh start and thereby it can solve several issues.

  • Press and hold the Power button.
  • From the Power Menu, tap on “Restart” option.

Fix 2. Disable/Enable Bluetooth

Turning off Bluetooth and turning it on also resolves various problems.

From the Home Screen on your phone, swipe down to bring up the notification panel.

  • Tap on the Bluetooth icon to disable it.
  • Wait for 20-30 seconds and again tap it to enable it.
  • Now, try to connect/pair your phone to your Bluetooth device.

Fix 3. Clear Cache and Clear Data of Bluetooth App

If your Google Pixel 8 series doesn’t connect to another Bluetooth device, then try to clear the cache and data of the Bluetooth app.

It will remove the accumulated and unwanted cache files & data.

  • Go to Settings app > Apps > See all apps.
  • Tap on 3 vertical dots located at the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Tap on “Show system”.
  • Look for Bluetooth and tap on it.
  • Tap on Storage & cache.
  • Tap on “Clear Cache” and then on “Clear Storage”.

Fix 4. Unpair and Pair Device Again

Unpair the connected device from both your Pixel 8 phone and other Bluetooth device.

  • To unpair Bluetooth on a Pixel phone, open the Settings app.
  • Tap on Connected devices > See all in Saved devices.
  • Tap on the gear icon (Settings) next to the paired device.
  • Tap on Forget > Forget device.

Your Pixel phone is now unpaired. Next, pair the device.

  • To pair Bluetooth on a Pixel phone, open the Settings app.
  • Tap on Connected devices > Pair a new device.
  • Tap on your device name > Pair.

Fix 5. Reset Bluetooth

This will delete all your paired devices and all other Bluetooth settings and will restore it to default settings.

  • Go to Settings > System.
  • Tap on Reset Options > Reset Bluetooth & Wi-Fi.
  • Tap Reset.
  • Now try to pair and connect and see if it fixed the issue.

Fix 6. Check For Software Update

Make sure that your phone is updated to the latest software version.

  • Go to Settings > System > System update.
  • Tap on “Check for update”.
  • If any update is available then download and install it.

Fix 7. Factory Reset Your Pixel 8/8 Pro

If the Bluetooth problem is still not solved, then try to factory reset your phone.

Note: This process will delete all data from the device, hence backup your data first to some other safe place.

  • Go to Settings > System > Reset options.
  • Tap on Erase all data (Factory reset) > Erase all data.
  • If asked enter your password and then tap on “Erase all data” again to confirm.

Next, set up your device and then check if your problem is fixed.

Fix 8. Contact Google Support

If none of the solutions work for you then it is time to contact Google Support.

Explain your issue to them and wait for their reply.
