Fix 1. Check For Windows Update

  • Click on Windows icon and then click on Settings.
  • On the left click on “Windows Update” and then click on “Check for updates”.
  • If any update is available, then Download and install
  • Restart your PC.

Fix 2. Update Photos App

  • Open Microsoft Store and click on Library.
  • And then click on “Get updates” and update all the apps.
  • Once all the apps get updated. Check if your problem is fixed or not.

Fix 3. Uninstall and Re-install Photos

  • In Windows search type “Photos” and right-click on it and select “Uninstall” to uninstall the Photos app.
  • Now, open Microsoft Store and type “Photos” in the search bar and click on “Microsoft Photos”.
  • Then click on “Get” to install Photos app.
  • Now, check if your issue is fixed or not.

Fix 4. Try Another App Instead of Photos

  • Try another app in place of Photos.
  • Open Microsoft Store and type “One Photo Viewer”.
  • Click on “Get” to install it.
  • Set One Photo Viewer as default.  In Windows Search, type “Default Apps” and open it.
  • Search for the app by typing one photo viewer in the search bar and click on it.
  • Then set everything to One Photo Viewer as default.
  • Now, check if your problem is fixed or not.
