Fix 1. Click on “Cancel” When Password Screen Appears

It could be possible that TikTok is bugged and hence it is asking for your iPhone passcode.

To bypass this issue, you can tap on “Cancel” option when password screen appears.

Or else, you can close the app and then open it to see if the passcode screen reappears.

Fix 2. Turn Off “Restricted Mode” on TikTok

  • Open TikTok and tap on your profile icon.
  • Tap the three lines at the top, then click “Settings and privacy”.
  • Scroll down, and click “Content preferences”.
  • Tap on “Restricted Mode”. If it is turned ON, then turn it OFF.

Fix 3. Update TikTok App

  • Open App Store.
  • Search for TikTok.
  • Tap on “Update”, if available.

Now, open TikTok and see if it asking for passcode or not.

Fix 4. Delete and Re-Install TikTok

Note: Before uninstalling the app, save your draft as it will get deleted.

  • Tap and hold the TikTok app, until some option appears.
  • Tap on “Remove App”.

Fix 5. Turn OFF Passcode Feature

It could be possible that this issue is caused by TikTok or iOS.

For the time being simply turn off Passcode feature, until this issue is fixed by the developers.

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode.
  • Enter your passcode and continue.
  • Scroll down and tap on “Turn Passcode Off”. Enter your passcode again to confirm.

This will fix the issue.

But, once this issue is solved by the developers of TikTok or iOS, simply turn it back on the same way.
