It can also be caused due to an issue with administrative permissions or a glitch/bug.

In order to fix the error, you can try to run the Roblox as an administrator, or when the User Account Control pops up, then click on “No” repeatedly.

You can also check Roblox server status whether they are operational or not.

If you are playing Roblox on web browsers, then try clearing the browser cache.

Or you can uninstall and re-install Roblox. You can download it from the Microsoft Store.

Way 1: Run Roblox as an Administrator

  • Right-click RobloxPlayer.exe and select “Properties”.
  • Go to the “Compatibility” tab and tick mark the “Run this program as an administrator” option and click on Apply.
  • Now launch the game again.

Alternatively, you can simply right-click on the Roblox app and then select “Run as administrator” option to launch it as an administrator.

Way 2: Select “No” When User Account Control Pops Up

  • Launch Roblox and wait until the user account control to pop-up.
  • The user account control pop-up will ask you to allow Roblox to make changes to your device, click on “No”.
  • If you again get the pop-up, then again click “No” and keep selecting “No”, until the pop-up no longer appears and this is how the error will get fixed.

Way 3: Check Roblox Server Status

Go to Roblox official online server status page to see if there is any server issue.

This page will show the current status of the server-related issue. If you see server status un-operational or down or any issue, then you have to wait until the problem is fixed by the Roblox.

Way 4: Clear Your Browser’s Cache

If you are playing Roblox on a web browser frequently, then there is a possibility that your browser is holding up the old data.

Hence, you should clear the browser’s cache.

After clearing the cache, the next time you visit Roblox Player website to play game, then it will fetch the new data.
