Fix 1. Add Server To Favorites

For this fix, you should know the ip of the server that you want to join.

If you know the ip of the server, then follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Steam. Click on “View” on the top left and click on “Game Servers”.

Step 2: Click on “+” icon.

Step 3: Now type the ip of the server that you want to join and click OK.

Step 4: If you get the following failure pop-up window, then do not worry.

Step 5. Again, click on “+” icon. Type the ip of the server that you want to join, but this time, we will edit last two digit of the ip, delete “00” and type “15” and click on OK.

Step 6. This time the server will get added to the favorites. Now, close the window and launch the game.

Step 7. Click on “Play” and in “Play Selection” option, select “Join”.

Step 8. The server that you have added to the favorites will show up in top. Simply, click on “Join” button next to it to play the game.

This is how you can fix the problem.

Fix 2. Reset Internet

In Windows Search, type “CMD”, right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator”.

In the command prompt, you have to type 3 code and hit ENTER. They are as follows:

  1. Type “ipconfig /flushdns” and hit Enter.
  2. Type “netsh winsock reset” and hit Enter.
  3. Type “netsh int ip reset” and hit Enter.

After this, check if your issue is fixed or not.

Fix 3. Change DNS Server Manually

  • In Windows Search, type Control Panel and open it.
  • Go to Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Connections (e.g., Ethernet/Wi-Fi).
  • Click on “Properties”. Double-click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
  • Select “Use the following DNS server addresses”.
  • In the Preferred DNS server, enter “8.8.8”.
  • In the Alternate DNS server, enter “8.4.4”.
  • Click on “OK” and close the Windows.
  • Now check if your problem is fixed or not.
