Fix 1: Run Enshrouded as an Admin

  • Open Steam. Right-click on “Enshrouded” and click on Manage > Browse local files.
  • In the opened Window, right-click on “Enshrouded” file and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Compatibility” tab and tick mark “Run this program as an administrator”.
  • Then click on “Apply” and “OK”.

Fix 2: Change Compatibility Settings For Enshrouded

  • If that doesn’t fix the issue, then from the Compatibility tab, select “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8/Windows 7”.
  • Click on “Apply” and “OK”.

Fix 3: Update Graphics Card Driver Manually

For NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

For AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support

Select your correct Graphics card driver and update it.

After updating the Graphics card driver, launch Enshrouded and see if it solves your issue or not.

Alternative Method To Update Your Graphics Card

  • Right-click on Windows icon and click on “Device Manager”.
  • Expand Display Adapters.
  • Right-click on your Graphics card driver and click on “Update Driver”.
  • Click on “Search automatically for drivers” and update it.
  • Now Launch the game and check if the problem is solved or not.

Fix 4: Disable Integrated Graphics Card

  • Right-click on Windows icon and click on “Device Manager”.
  • Expand Display Adapters.
  • Right-click on the integrated graphics card and select “Disable device” followed by “Yes”.
  • Now, Launch Enshrouded and then enable Integrated Graphics card in Device Manager.

Fix 5: Run Enshrouded on Dedicated Graphics Card

  • In Windows Search type “Graphics Settings” and open it.
  • Click on “Browse” and add “enshrouded” app.
  • To do this, go to Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Enshrouded folder.
  • Select “enshrouded” and click on “Add”.
  • Click on enshrouded and then on Option and select “High Performance” and then click on “Save”.
  • Now, launch the game and see if your problem is fixed or not.

Fix 6. Rollback Graphics Card

  • Right-click on Windows icon and click on “Device Manager”.
  • Expand Display Adapters.
  • Right-click on your Graphics card driver and click on “Properties”.
  • Go to “Driver” tab and click on “Roll Back Driver” and click “OK”.
  • Launch the game and see if your issue is solved or not.

Note: AMD users can install the previous version.

Fix 7: Update Windows To Latest Version

  • Click on Windows icon and then click on Settings.
  • On the left click on “Windows Update” and then click on “Check for updates”.
  • If any update is available, then Download and install
  • Restart your computer.

Fix 8: Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Open Steam and go to Library.
  • Right-click on Enshrouded and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Installed” tab and then click on “Verify integrity of game files”.
  • Now, check if your problem is solved or not.

Fix 9: Modify Enshrouded Game Launch Options

  • Open Steam. Right-click on Enshrouded game and select “Properties”.
  • In the Launch Options, type “-dx11” and close the tab.
  • Now, launch the game and check if it solves your issue or not.
  • If not, then type “-dx12” in the Launch Options and then check.

Fix 10: Allow Enshrouded Through Firewall/Antivirus

  • On your PC, click on “Windows” icon and click on Settings.
  • On the left, click on “Privacy & security” and then click on “Firewall and network protection”.

  • Then click on “Browse” and add Enshrouded app to the list.

Fix 11: Uninstall and Re-Install Enshrouded

  • If nothing seems to work, then uninstall and re-install Enshrouded.
  • Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Search for Ready or Not, click on 3 dots and select “Uninstall”.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Open Steam and re-install Enshrouded from the Steam Store.
