Fix 1. Modify the GraphicsDriver Registry Key

In the Windows Search, type regedit and click Registry Editor to open it.

Next, navigate to the GraphicsDrivers key at this registry location:

  • Right-click on GraphicsDrivers and select the New and then DWORD
  • Name TdrLevel title for the newly created DWORD.
  • Double-click on TdrLevel to activate its Value box.
  • The DWORD’s default value should already be set to zero. However, if it is not, then set the value to 0 and click OK.
  • Now close Registry Editor. Restart your PC. Launch the game and check.

Fix 2. Modify Compatibility Settings

  • Open Steam. Right-click on “Banishers Ghosts of New Eden” and click on Manage > Browse local files.
  • It will open the Game Installation folder.
  • Open NWD > Binaries > Win64 folder.
  • Right-click on “Banishers-Win64-Shipping” exe file and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Compatibility” tab and tick mark “Run this program as an administrator”.
  • Tick mark “Disable fullscreen optimizations”.
  • Also, tick mark “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8/Windows 7. Click Apply and OK.
  • Now, launch the game from the installation folder, from here itself.

  • Open Steam and go to Library. Right-click on Banishers Ghosts of New Eden and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Installed Files” tab and then click on “Verify integrity of game files”.
  • Now, check if your problem is solved or not.

Fix 4. Run Banishers Ghosts of New Eden on Dedicated Graphics Card

  • In Windows Search, type “Graphics Settings” and open it.
  • Click on “Browse” and add “Banishers-Win64-Shipping” exe file.
  • To do this, go to Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Banishers Ghosts of New Eden > NWD > Binaries > Win64 folder.
  • Select “Banishers-Win64-Shipping” and click on “Add”.
  • Click on Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and then on Options and select “High Performance” and then click on “Save”. Launch the game and check.

  • Disable Nvidia Overlay: Open Nvidia GeForce Experience > Settings > General > Turn off “In-Game Overlay”.

Fix 7. Close Conflicting Programs

  • Disconnect external USB drive, mouse, disconnect additional joystick/controllers, multiple monitor connected to PC.
  • Unplug the Logitech or Thrustmaster racing wheel.
  • End the task for Razer Synapse or MSI Dragon Center from Task Manager.
  • Close all of your tabs to free up RAM and relaunch the game.

Fix 8. Update Windows

  • Click on Windows icon and then click on Settings.
  • On the left click on “Windows Update” and then click on “Check for updates”.
  • If any update is available, then Download and install
  • Restart your PC and then launch the game.
