What Can Cause The Call of Duty Lagging Issue

Before you get to the solution, you need to understand the issue. If your game lags or is constantly freezing, there can be several reasons behind it.

#1: Slow Internet Connection

If you want to get the best out of the gaming experience, you need a good internet connection. You should invest in Spectrum Wi-Fi prices and ditch the cellular data. Otherwise, your game might continue to reboot, and downloading will be slow. Moreover, a lower ping can be crucial for gamers as well. Especially for FPS games like CoD, the response time can make a lot of difference. Your device needs to be able to send and receive data in time. Otherwise, the connection won’t be smooth and your character might keep respawning.

#2: Outdated Software

Outdated software can be the root cause of many problems. And a slow game is also one of them. Developers work with the latest software updates, and the game will run best on it. So, ideally, you should be on Android 5.1 Lollipop or above to even run the game on your phone. Newer versions also remove bugs and add performance fixes. You can also be susceptible to cyber-attacks and data breaches if you refuse to install updates. Moreover, outdated software versions can make your internet connection slower as well.

#3: Hardware Issues

CoD can act up sometimes on mid-range phones with older processor models like the Snapdragon 665. So, in order to run the game at its optimum capacity, you should look into the system requirements. If your device does not have the required specifications, the game can lag behind. Ideally, you should have at least 2 GB of RAM on your phone. The more RAM you have, the better the game can run. So, if you are serious about gaming, you might need to invest in a better phone.

#4: Background Apps

For a game as demanding as CoD Mobile, you should have as much free RAM space as possible. A great way to do that is to go to your phone’s settings and stop background app refreshes. These refreshes can hog up a lot of your RAM without you even knowing about it.

There are several ways to fix the latency issues with your game. You can implement these fixes to get 60 fps and avoid stuttering.

#1: Turn ON 4x MSAA

The 4x MSAA can be an option if you have trouble with a low FPS on your device. But, it can be taxing for your system. So, you should do an FPS counter on your device first and then enable the option. It will most probably cause your phone to heat up. Moreover, the battery will also drain quicker. This is one of the reasons why developers hide this feature deep within the settings. Otherwise, every user might tinker with their system settings. Here’s how you can turn it on:

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap on About Phone.
  • Click on the Kernel Version button multiple times.
  • Wait for the developer options to pop up on your screen.
  • Click on Enable Developer Option.
  • Find the Fore 4x MSAA tab.
  • Enable the setting.
  • Reboot your phone.

Try Game Booster On Android To Fix Call Of Duty Mobile

Many brands are changing their phones based on the market demand. Companies like Samsung and Xiaomi now understand that many people use smartphones for gaming. So, they have developed built-in game boosters for your phones. A game booster can automatically enhance your phone’s performance when you’re playing. They can shut down background apps and clear the phone’s cache memory. As a result, you can face lesser lagging issues in your phone.
