How To Fix CS2 Packet Loss Issue
Fix 1. Includes Step 1, 2 and 3
Step 1. Modify Internet Packet Priority
- Right-click on Windows icon and select “Device Manager”.
- Expand “Network adapters”.
- Then right-click on “Intel” and select “Properties”.
- Go to Advanced tab and now look for “VLAN” in the Property section. In my case, it is not available here.
- In my case, it is available in Realtek Gaming Gbe Family Controller.
- Right-click on it and select “Properties”.
- Go to “Advanced” tab.
- Select “Priority & VLAN” in Property section and in Value section select “Priority & VLAN Enabled”.
- Click on “OK”.
Step 2. Reset Internet Using CMD
In Windows Search, type “CMD”, right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator”.
In the command prompt, you have to type 5 code and hit ENTER. They are as follows:
- Type “ipconfig /release” and hit Enter.
- Type “ipconfig /flushdns” and hit Enter.
- Type “ipconfig /renew” and hit Enter.
- Type “netsh int ip reset” and hit Enter.
- Type “netsh winsock reset” and hit Enter.
Step 3. Reset Internet From Windows Settings
- Click on Windows icon and then click on “Settings”.
- On the left, click on “Network & internet” and then click on “Advanced network settings”.
- Then click on “Network reset”.
- Next, click on “Reset now” and then click on “Yes” to confirm.
- Now, restart your PC (it is a must).
After following all the 3 steps, launch the CS2 game and check problem is solved or not.
Fix 2. Try outofordertest Code In Steam
- Open Steam and go to Library.
- Right-click on CS2 game and select properties.
- Go to “Betas” tab and type “outofordertest” and click on Check Code.
- You can see “Success! Beta unlocked”.
- Then click on “Opt into: test-test”.
Note: This feature may not be available in future. Also, you may face crashing & network issues.
Fix 3. Create Port For CS2
Go to: https://portforward.com/counter-strike-2/
Look for CS2 Steam TCP and UDP Port. We have to create CS2 TCP and UDP Port.
- To do this, search for Windows Firewall in Windows search and click on Windows Defender Firewall.
- Then click on “Advanced settings”.
- Click on “Inbound Rules”.
- Then click on “New Rule…” on the right side.
- Select “Port” option and then click on “Next”.
- Select TCP.
- Now copy paste TCP port from the Port Forward CS2 website: 27015, 27036 in the Specific local ports and click on Next.
- Select “Allow the connection” and click on Next.
- Again, click on Next.
- In the Name, type “cs2 tcp port” and then click on “Finish”. We have created TCP port.
Similarly, create UDP port.
- Click on “New Rule…” on the right side.
- Select “Port” option and then click on “Next”.
- Select UDP.
- Now copy paste UDP port from the Port Forward CS2 website: 27015, 27031-27036 in the Specific local ports and click on Next.
- Select “Allow the connection” and click on Next.
- Again, click on Next.
- In the Name, type “cs2 udp port” and then click on “Finish”. We have created UDP port.
- Now, you can check Packet Loss problem has been fixed or not.
