How To Fix WWE 2K24 Not Launching on Steam

Fix 1. Restart Steam/Restart Your PC

  • Restart your steam and then try to launch the game.
  • If that doesn’t help then simply restart your PC and then launch the WWE 2K24 and check.

Fix 2. Run WWE 2K24 as an Admin

  • Open Steam. Right-click on “WWE 2K24” and click on Manage > Browse local files.
  • It will open the Game Installation folder. The path is – C:\Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > WWE 2K24.
  • Right-click on “WWE2K24” exe file and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Compatibility” tab and tick mark “Run this program as an administrator”.
  • Then click on “Apply” and “OK”.
  • Now, launch the game from the installation folder, from here itself and check problem is solved or not.

Fix 3. Modify Compatibility Settings of WWE 2K24

  • If running the game as admin does not work, then tick mark “Disable fullscreen optimizations”.
  • Also, tick mark “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8/Windows 7. Click Apply and OK.
  • Now, launch the game from the installation folder and check.

Fix 4. Modify Game Launch Options

  • Open Steam. Right-click on WWE 2K24 game and select “Properties”.
  • In the Launch Options, type “-dx11” and close the tab.
  • Now, launch the game and check if it solves your issue or not.
  • If not, then type “-dx12” or “-windowed” in Launch Options and then check.

Fix 5. Disable Overlays

  • Disable Steam Overlay: Go to your Steam Library > right-click WWE 2K24 > Properties > Turn off “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.
  • Disable Discord Overlay: Launch Discord on your PC. Then click on “Gear” icon in the app bottom left corner. Click on “Game Overlay” on the left panel and then toggle off the “Enable In-Game Overlay”.
  • Disable Nvidia Overlay: Open Nvidia GeForce Experience > Settings > General > Turn off “In-Game Overlay”.

Similarly disable overlay in all apps or close all other overlay apps. (GeForce Experience, Nvidia shadow play overlay, AMD overlay)

And then launch the game and check.

Fix 6. Update Graphics Card Driver

To Update NVIDIA: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

To Update AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support

Select your correct Graphics card driver and update it.

After updating the Graphics card driver, launch WWE 2K24 and see if your problem is fixed or not.

Fix 7. Run WWE 2K24 on Dedicated Graphics Card

  • In Windows Search, type “Graphics Settings” and open it.
  • Click on “Browse” and add “WWE2K24” exe file.
  • To do this, go to Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > WWE 2K24 Select “WWE2K24” exe file and click on “Add”.
  • After adding, click on WWE 2K24 and then on Options and select “High Performance” and then click on “Save”. Now, launch game and check.

Fix 8. Install Visual C++ Files

Fix 9. Allow WWE 2K24 Through Firewall/Antivirus

  • On your PC, click on “Windows” icon and click on Settings.
  • On the left, click on “Privacy & security” and then click on “Windows Security”.
  • Click on “Firewall and network protection” and then click on “Allow an app through firewall”.
  • Click on “Change settings” and then click on “Allow another app”.
  • Then click on “Browse” and add WWE2K24 exe file.
  • Go to Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > WWE 2K24
  • Select “WWE2K24” exe file and add it.
  • Also, allow WWE 2K24 through antivirus program or disable it for a while.

Fix 10. Clear Download Cache

  • Open Steam, click on word Steam at top left and select “Settings”.
  • Go to “Downloads” tab and then click on “Clear Cache” next to Clear Download Cache.

Fix 11. Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Open Steam and go to Library. Right-click on WWE 2K24 and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Installed Files” tab and then click on “Verify integrity of game files”.
  • Now, check if your problem is solved or not.

Fix 12. Close Conflicting Programs

  • Disconnect external USB drive, mouse, disconnect additional joystick/controllers, multiple monitor connected to PC.
  • Unplug the Logitech or Thrustmaster racing wheel.
  • End the task for Razer Synapse or MSI Dragon Center from Task Manager.
  • Close all of your tabs to free up RAM and relaunch the game.

Fix 13. Update Windows

  • Click on Windows icon and then click on Settings.
  • On the left click on “Windows Update” and then click on “Check for updates”.
  • If any update is available, then Download and install
  • Restart your PC and then launch the game.

Fix 14. Increase Virtual Memory

  • Click on Windows icon and click on “Settings”.
  • On the left side, click on “System” and then click on “Advanced system settings”.
  • From the Advanced tab, under Performance, click on Settings.
  • Go to Advancedtab, under Virtual Memory, click on Change.
  • Uncheck‘Automatically manage paging file size for all drives’.
  • Select yourWindows drive (usually C:).
  • Choose ‘Custom size’ and set the ‘Initial size’ and ‘Maximum size’.
  • (Set Initial Size: 1.5 x Total RAM & Maximum Size: 3 x Total RAM)

For example, if your PC Installed RAM is 16GB, then enter the value as follows:

  • Initial Size (MB): 24576
  • Maximum Size (MB): 49152

If your PC Installed RAM is 32GB, then enter the value as follows:

  • Initial Size (MB): 49152
  • Maximum Size (MB): 98304

If your PC Installed RAM is 8GB, then enter the value as follows:

  • Initial Size (MB): 12288
  • Maximum Size (MB): 24576

Click ‘Set’ and then ‘OK’.

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Fix 15. Uninstall and Re-Install WWE 2K24

  • If all fixes fail, then uninstall WWE 2K24 game from your PC.
  • Restart your PC and re-install the game and then check.
