Therefore, here we will use an old version of the app that doesn’t allow VolP calling, or other third-party apps and for a temporary solution, you can use mute voice calls. So, let’s look at all these ways to turn off WhatsApp voice/video calls one by one.
Solution 1: Install The Older Version Of WhatsApp
The VolP calling is a new feature, hence it is not available in an older version. So, you can download and install an older version of the app, as voice or video call is not supported on an older version and hence no one can call you via WhatsApp (voice or video). This solution will only work until your phone and WhatsApp supports the older version.
Before you remove the current/newer version of the app, you must back up your chats so that you can restore them later.
Here, follow the steps to do the same:
Step 1: On your Android phone, open the WhatsApp app.
Step 2: Then tap on 3 vertical dots to go to its Settings.
Step 3: To back up your chats, you need to tap on “Chats” option and then hit on “Chat Backup”.

Step 5: Now, download and install the older version (2.12.4 or older) from here.

#1: GBWhatsApp
GBWhatsApp is a modified version of WhatsApp that allows the option to disable video or voice calls. It also provides other features like deleting sent messages, viewing deleted messages, changing the fonts and layouts, etc.
Again you need to back up your chats before you move to GBWhatsApp.
Once you have created the backup of chat history, follow the below steps to install GBWhatsApp and use it to prevent call.
Step 1: Firstly, download and install GBWhatsApp. Make sure installing app from unknown sources are allowed on your phone.
Step 2: Afterwards, you need to use the built-in feature to restore the backed-up WhatsApp chat history.
Step 3: Next, tap on 3 dots and then select Settings option.
Step 4: Then go to GB Settings > Other MODS. Here you can view the option “Disable voice calls”, just turn on this option.
That’s It! All your incoming audio calls get disabled.
#2: Disable WhatsApp Calls
You can also use Disable WhatsApp Calls app to turn off voice call on WhatsApp.
Here, follow the steps to use it to turn off voice call:
Step 1: At first, download and install Disable WhatsApp Calls app.

Solution 3: How To Disable WhatsApp Video Call On Android?
If you want to only disable video call on WhatsApp and not the voice call then you can follow the below steps to do the same.
Step 1: For Android 6.0 and above, run the Settings app.
Step 2: In the search section, enter Permissions.
Step 3: Next, choose “App Permissions”. Again choose “App Permissions” (you may not need to select this again).
Step 4: Tap on Camera, select WhatsApp and turn off it.
Once you do this, you can’t open camera in WhatsApp (if you wish to click an image in a specific chat then it will not work). You need to first take the photo using your phone’s camera app and then find it using the WhatsApp gallery or phone’s gallery to share images.
Note: For Android devices running on 6.0 does not have any method to disable video call on WhatsApp.
